The Mount Vernon Wellness Coalition for All Ages is a consortium of municipal and private community based organizations who have come together to foster permanent healthy lifestyle changes in the Mount Vernon Community. The Program is funded by a grant from the United Way of Westchester and Putnam, and the Andrus Benedict Foundation. Westchester Community College is the lead partner organization.
Our partners include: Westchester Department of Senior Programs and Services, City of Mount Vernon Office for Aging, Mount Vernon Department of Recreation, Mount Vernon Youth Bureau, Mount Vernon Board of Education, Free Teens, Visiting Nurse Services
Mount Vernon Health Coalition, Lower Hudson Valley Perinatal Network, The Wartburg Adult Care Community, American Cancer Society, Mount Vernon Community that Cares, Teen Aware, Mount Vernon Hospital, Mount Vernon Boys & Girls Club
In addition to making healthy lifestyles changes, Mount Vernon Wellness Coalition for All Ages aims to bridge the gap between the older and younger residents of Mount Vernon. Many of our exciting programs center on Intergenerational participation through team work. |
